Mr McLardy Smith works solely in the field of hip and knee arthritis and revision surgery. He has developed a particularly broad experience in the fields of metal on metal resurfacing of the hip, revision hip surgery and the management of peri-prosthetic infections. He conceived and developed the Oxford Universal Hip, a modular femoral component successfully used in revision surgery for over fifteen years, and have the longest current experience with the Oxford Meniscal Knee replacement.
