Re: terrible awful no-good very bad knee

Well at the least some mobility is good. You can not see other places in the house and go outside, that has got to be a boost. I understand the brave routine. I do that too much myself. It's just so dang hard to ask for help sometimes. Hope the new staff can get you in to someone sooner. At the leas...

Re: PFR-Knee pain-Who has had this?

Glad the exercise is helping you feel better. It does lift the spirits. If the knees are not complaining too much then you are probably hitting about right. Too bad about the project. I know our folks are feeling that way with our new system that I don't have any admin rights to anymore. Keep up the...

Re: terrible awful no-good very bad knee

Well now! That is better news, not the new scope part, but the part where they FOUND SOMETHING! Gee seems like you've been trying to tell them something is not right for sometime. Just knowing that must help somewhat. I hope that whoever they send you to in Harvard can help you out. Seems like some ...

Re: Nick's Medial Plica Excision & Fat Pad!

Have you asked about patellar tendonitis? It may cause the bruising in the area you are talking about. If you are getting this regularly, I would get it checked out and def keep an eye on over use. 50 miles is awsome!

Re: Nick's Medial Plica Excision & Fat Pad!

Nick, I understand what you are saying about the brace too, I only wear mine at night when I sleep. It helps get the swelling down. I may wear it during the day, but only if the kneecap is acting up or the leg is giving out. I would not wear one for more than a little while (unless it is really swol...

Have you thought of putting a brace or wrap on at night while you are sitting around to help with swelling? I find that sometimes the compression helps with the ice and elevation when I have been on my feet a long time. Glad you are enjoying so far.

Re: Just Another Check In

You are probably right that a clean out is in order when you get back. Seems like you are managing for now though.

Oh dear! What an exciting day off! I just love it when someone else messes with something and you have to go back and fix it. Good luck. Hope the knees hold out.

Re: PFR-Knee pain-Who has had this?

I know the pain of inherited database syndrome. Makes you want to bang you head on the wall sometimes. I also get the "oh didn't we tell you we changed all our procedures, now the database does not work right". Keeps me busy I suppose. Hope the knees settle once the big moving and such is ...

Re: Nick's Medial Plica Excision & Fat Pad!

A brace for after running may help with the swelling and make sure to ice after as well. When I was still running I found icing it after running then wearing a brace for a while helped. You could also try wearing like a tubigrip to bed. That may help reduce the swelling without letting the knee get ...

Re: Nick's Medial Plica Excision & Fat Pad!

Try starting with a sports physician, esp if you are new to the area. Make sure he can get your past history with the knee. Take care.

Hey sounds like the hip surgery has gone well! Been offline for a while. I had back surgery the end of June to address a pinched nerve. Doing well, just need to not over do and let it all heal up. Nerve type pain seems MIA and am glad. Good luck at school and don't aggrivate the hip with moving and ...

Re: PFR-Knee pain-Who has had this?

Love the shoe comment. I nearly always feel that way about women's footwear. I loved my spike heels when I was young, but even then knew better than to wear them 8 hours a day! LOL Even some of the new men's styles do not look at all comfortable. Fluid projects are so much fun (full sarcasm)! Good l...
