Lateral femoral condyle Microfracture 3 days ago.

Post by Red_Sunset »

Hi all.
I had microfracture surgery 3 days ago to repair a full thickness flap tear of the lateral femural condyle. The tear was relatively small. Less than 1cm. Mri showed showed surrounding cartilage to be healthy and no other major problems. I'm a 35 year old tennis player. I've already had meniscal tears in each knee. Arthroscopes on each.
In short, I'm pretty deflated about the road ahead. At least a month on crutches and a lot of rehab ahead of me.
Tried doing my range of motion excercises, but bloody hell it's sore! Hoping to play table tennis in six months. Is this realistic? Any advice from people who have beem through this?
