Hamstrings exercises strengthen the hamstrings muscles at the back of the knee.

Bend up the one knee to a count of five, and slowly lower it, and repeat on the other side. Use ankle weights if too easy.

Knee rehab programs should focus not only on regaining strength of the quads and hamstrings, but also on achieving a strength balance between them.

As the exervcise progresses ankle weights can be employed.
