Pain around knee ligament sprain

Post by He3ther78 »

Full knee replacement 9 months ago. Was healing well. Knee sprain 3 weeks ago from hiking. Have been taking it easy the past few weeks. Activity has greatly been reduced. No hiking since that time. A few short, easy walks. Pain in knee has improved greatly. Pain around knee has become problematic in hips, thighs, calves. Possible overcompensation?

Probably hiking was not a great idea as tissues really take a year or two to fully heal.

Now you will just need to take things easy and 'wait and see' but try to keep the joint mobile with gentle ROM exercises and patellar mobilisations. See here - https://www.kneeguru.co.uk/KNEEnotes/kn ... nge-motion (on desktop there is a list of links on the right, but on mobile devices the list is at the bottom).
