Mr Tarek Boutefnouchet was appointed as a substantive consultant surgeon in trauma and orthopaedics with specialist interest in knee surgery at the University Hospitals Birmingham in 2020. He is also an honorary researcher in mechanical engineering at the University of Birmingham where he conducts research into orthopaedic biomechanics and novel surgical designs.
