Hip flexions

Hip flexions are knee rehabilitation exercises to improve range of motion of the knee and hip.

Patient sits withe buttocks and one leg on plinth, while the other leg supports her on the floor.
Sit on an exercise plinth with one leg extended on the plinth and one resting on the floor.

Gradually lean forward, hold the position and then repeat.

Hip flexions are also a hamstrings stretch

This hip flexion exercise is also a hamstrings stretch. The hamstrings are important for knee stability and strong hamstrings help to protect the cruciate ligaments.
